: Sophia and Jim and their family were wonderful hosts. The property is STUNNING. Just gorgeous. It's about 20 minutes from Manchester center but the drive was scenic so we loved it. There's a little brook outside, and lots of land, and a huge deck where we enjoyed time together. And the breakfast--WOW! We ate like royalty! Our room was quiet and clean, with an amazing stove to knock off the cool evening chill. The place was spotless, and Sophia offered us advice on where to go and even gave us Vermont postcards when we left. This was a "goodbye" trip for us--I am moving indefinitely to care for an ill parent--so my partner and I really just wanted easy, quiet time together in a beautiful place until we see each other again. This was perfect--romantic, charming, quiet, and well-appointed.
And because we traveled during COVID: spotless! Very few guests and plenty of opportunities to socially distance. Masks worn inside, as is recommended, and meals were served individually rather than buffet-style.
: We got no cell signal (but were able to wifi call).
